Project Overview
Violence thrives where harmful norms persist. KHAF’s BCC & Social Norms Advocacy project seeks to
shift community attitudes, promote gender equality, strengthen child rights, and eliminate behaviors
that perpetuate violence and exclusion.
This project is at the heart of long-term, sustainable change in Rwanda.
Key Activities
✔ Community Dialogues & Peer Education
Engaging families, men, boys, teachers, and leaders in conversations that challenge harmful norms.
✔ Media Campaigns
Radio shows, storytelling, social media, video campaigns, posters, and digital engagement.
✔ School Programs
Introducing positive masculinity, self-worth, and non-violent communication.
✔ Faith & Cultural Leader Engagement
Partnering with influential community voices to model safer, healthier behaviors.
